The electric heated blanket should be placed on a firm, non-adjustable mattress. While sleeping, the blanket should lie flat from shoulders to feet. The heated blanket should be unfolded with the included controller facing the head of the bed. Ideally, the side with the control panel should be close to the shoulder for comfortable operation. To prevent the blanket from shifting or creasing, the elastic straps should be firmly attached to the mattress; the pleated part tends to generate high temperatures, which can be dangerous.
