Folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate levels. Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. Moderate amounts of iron and vitamins B6 and B12 contribute to normal red blood cell production.
High-purity omega-3 capsules.Research increasingly points to the importance of essential fatty acids, such as DHA, in the development of children and infants. Maternal DHA intake contributes to normal visual and brain development in the fetus.
