What does the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate mean?
If a textile item bears the STANDARD 100 label, you can be sure that every component of the item, i.e., every thread, button, and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and is therefore harmless to human health. Testing is conducted by independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes based on the extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog. The test takes into account many substances, both regulated and unregulated, that may be harmful to human health. In many cases, the STANDARD 100 limit values exceed national and international requirements. The criteria catalog is updated at least annually and expanded to include new scientific knowledge and statutory requirements.
