Amla, 100 g
Want your hair to have a cooler tone – regardless of the weather or season? Amla will help you control your color and give your strands neutral, muted tones.
Amla is powdered Indian gooseberry, used for centuries in Ayurveda. Added to henna, cassia, rubia, or senna, it accelerates pigment development and gives herbal blends a noticeably cooler color direction. In practice, this means that red hair becomes more subdued, blondes acquire a sandy hue, and reds gain slightly purple reflections. Just a little bit of powder is enough to see the difference.
But it's not just a dye additive. Amla itself nourishes the hair and scalp – thanks to its high vitamin C and antioxidant content, it strengthens, helps soothe irritation, and reduces dandruff. Its slightly acidic pH seals hair cuticles, protecting them from breakage and static. So, you can use it as part of a herbal hair dye or apply it alone to strengthen and smooth hair.
