Prenatal® PRIMO
Prenatal® PRIMO is a dietary supplement for women planning a pregnancy. It contains carefully selected ingredients in recommended portions that, by supplementing the diet, beneficially affect fertility (zinc) and, in the case of pregnancy, its normal course (zinc) and fetal development (folic acid). DNA Protection Formula® is a set of carefully selected ingredients that protect the embryo's DNA, thus reducing the likelihood of potential genetic damage2,3. Additionally, by improving the processes of cell division and closing the neural tube, they influence the proper development of the child (folic acid).
Prenatal® PRIMO contains the highest1 daily dose of choline for DNA protection2,3. The latest 2022 recommendations from the USA indicate choline as an essential component for brain development and emphasize its role as an ingredient that may reduce the likelihood of Down syndrome, autism, and neural tube defects4.
Prenatal® PRIMO comes in the form of a capsule without unnecessary additives in the form of fillers, coatings, and stabilizers.
Prenatal® PRIMO is manufactured in accordance with the guidelines of the Nutropharma Quality System (NQS), which guarantees the safety and highest quality of the preparation. Moreover, Prenatal® PRIMO is a product that meets the requirements of food safety and quality in terms of microbiological, heavy metal and active ingredient analyses carried out in the accredited Eurofins laboratory.
What does Prenatal® PRIMO contain – ingredient properties:
DNA Protection Formula® – embryo DNA protection
DNA Protection Formula® is a set of ingredients that protect the genetic material (DNA) of the embryo2,3 and improve the closing of the neural tube (folic acid).
- DNA protection – research results indicate a significant role of choline in protecting against DNA damage2,3 and in the proper functioning of the central nervous system, including structures responsible for memory3,5.
- Reduces the risk of developing neural tube defects Nervous – supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate levels. Low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects (NTDs) in the developing fetus.
Choline
Participates in protecting DNA from damage, closing the neural tube, and reducing homocysteine levels3.5. All this has a beneficial effect on the development and proper functioning of the child's central nervous system, including the structures responsible for memory3.5.
Did you know that… The latest 2022 recommendations from the USA indicate choline as an essential component for brain development and emphasize its role as an ingredient that may reduce the likelihood of Down syndrome, autism, and neural tube defects4.
Folate and vitamin D - support for proper child development
FolActiv® is a combination of folic acid and its active form. Supplementation of both of these forms of folate before and during pregnancy is an important element in the prevention of neural tube defects, recommended by the Polish Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians6. The active form of folate is important for women with slower folic acid metabolism. This applies to every second woman in Poland7. Choline, MethylB12, the active form of vitamin B6, and folic acid contained in FolActiv® support homocysteine metabolism, which affects the proper development of the child's nervous system8,9,10. The use of vitamins B12, B6, and choline affects the utilization and bioavailability of folic acid11,12,13.
Vitamin D in the recommended daily dose of 2000 IU6 is important for proper growth and bone development in children and supports the proper functioning of the immune system.
Zinc – support for female fertility
Zinc helps maintain normal fertility and reproductive function. Research indicates that this element is important for processes involved in the growth of female reproductive cells, fertility, and pregnancy. An adequate supply of zinc in the diet is essential for the proper formation of an egg capable of fertilization and influences its maturation and quality. Zinc supply before fertilization is important for the process of embryo division and differentiation, as well as the development of the fetus, including its limbs and neural tube.14.
Iodine
Iodine contributes to the proper production of hormones and thyroid function. It is important for proper growth in children. Additionally, it plays a role in the development and functioning of the nervous system and cognitive functions in children15.
Vitamin B6 and Methyl B12
Vitamin B6 and MethylB12, together with folic acid contained in FolActiv® and choline, support the proper metabolism of homocysteine, which affects the proper development of the child's nervous system8,9,10. Methylcobalamin, calcium L-methylfolate, and pyridoxal-5-phosphate are forms of vitamins ready for use by the body.
Directions for use:
