Get It Over With Me Enzymatic Scalp Peel, 120 ml
When your scalp feels oily or flaky, and your hair (and hair roots) are feeling particularly heavy, it's a sign that it's time to get rid of unwanted excess dead cells. This gentle yet firm enzymatic peel with papaya enzyme and urea will help your skin regain its lightness and will also make scalp lotions and masks more effective.
The peel is a thick, slightly foaming paste that allows for the most active ingredients in the smallest possible volume. It doesn't contain water to preserve the enzyme's activity, which only begins on damp skin.
What's inside?* Linseed oil - an oil exceptionally rich in triglycerides of unsaturated fatty acids: linolenic, linoleic, and oleic. It soothes, accelerates healing, and limits water evaporation from the epidermis and hair, making it ideal for persistently dry and problematic skin and hair with higher porosity. As if that weren't enough, its high EFA content also works well on oily skin, diluting sebum and regulating its secretion.* Potato starch – gently absorbs impurities and smooths hair.* Papain – a proteolytic enzyme derived from papaya, meaning it breaks down proteins: in this case, keratin proteins in the outer layer of the epidermis (i.e., excess dead cells). Significantly gentler on the epidermis than AHA acids, it is better tolerated by sensitive skin.* Urea - moisturizes, softens the epidermis, and supports exfoliation.* Stearic acid - an emollient that smooths and retains moisture in the hair.* Sodium cocoyl isethionate - one of the mildest anionic detergents. Its base is coconut oil fatty acids. It causes the scrub to lather slightly, making it easier to apply and rinse off.* Vitamin E - rightly called the vitamin of youth. Protects skin and hair from oxidants, thus maintaining their condition (and color!)* Citric acid – balances pH and slightly moisturizes.* Peppermint essential oil – visibly refreshes and stimulates circulation in the scalp.
The scrub does not contain preservatives.
Apply a small amount of the scrub to damp scalp before washing (approx. half a teaspoon – a teaspoon per use). Avoid adding water.
