Smoothing Conditioner Bar, 55 g
As mentioned above, the main goals of our emollient-humectant natural conditioner bar are: Firstly – (surprise!) nourishing the hair and making it easier to comb after washing; Secondly – smoothing and softening; Thirdly – giving it a healthy shine. That's it in a nutshell. Szpaka's natural hair conditioner bar has acquired this handful of skills thanks to the combination of ingredients in its formula, each of which takes on the burden of responsibility from a slightly different category and complements each other perfectly. Its base is BTMS – a surfactant with caring and emulsifying properties. It is supported by betaine in gently removing impurities, which also has softening and conditioning properties. Thanks to these two ingredients, the bar can be used as a co-wash (i.e., a product used to wash hair with conditioner) or as a component of the OMO (Conditioner-Wash-Conditioner) hair wash, appreciated by, among others, proud owners of curly (or those who want to curl) hair, most often with high porosity. Cetyl alcohol, on the other hand, smooths and softens, while also adding a distinctive slip to the bar and excellently thickening and stabilizing the product. Furthermore, it has film-forming and occlusive properties, preventing excessive water loss that leads to dry hair and scalp. The bar boasts a beneficial blend of safflower, sesame, and peanut oils. We haven't spared any cocoa butter either (free radicals, you might be afraid). This composition aims to provide maximum nourishment, strengthen, and protect hair from excessive moisture loss, hair loss, and harmful external factors. They're supposed to make hair healthy, thick, and beautifully shiny. Okay, emollients give us a solid nutritional boost, but what about hydration? Don't worry, that's where humectants come in. With the ever-popular aloe vera gels (used, for example, as a base for hair oiling), you've probably heard that aloe vera juice has moisturizing and regenerating properties, as well as toning and antibacterial properties. It also helps soothe inflammation and all kinds of irritations. It also regulates sebum production, so hair won't get oily (this effect is further enhanced by the addition of green clay and horsetail macerate, which also has a revitalizing effect and, usually in conjunction with nettle, is a good friend to every hair enthusiast). When applied to the roots of the conditioner, aloe can also help improve blood circulation in the scalp, which can in turn accelerate hair growth and the appearance of long-awaited baby hairs. In addition to aloe, provitamin B5, or D-panthenol, is also responsible for the conditioner's soothing effects. It has strong hygroscopic properties (binding water), preventing excessive water loss. It is also composed of small molecules, so it can relatively easily penetrate the scalp and hair follicles, while also deeply strengthening and nourishing them. D-panthenol is a great ally for those struggling with problematic, sensitive, and allergy-prone scalp. This is because it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, and also reduces any burning and itching sensations. We thank the conditioner's natural essential oils: orange, mandarin, and bergamot for its citrusy, sweet-and-sour fragrance. You're the ones who make it so enjoyable to use. Now that we've covered the effects of natural conditioner bars, perhaps it's time to talk about how to actually achieve this amazing effect on your hair? How to use it? How to apply it? Contrary to appearances, with a bar formula, it's not so obvious, even though shampoo has paved the way for it a bit and we're no longer so wary of this type of product. Let's start by saying that just as a shampoo bar can be touched with your finger and it lathers like crazy, conditioner is a bit more... introverted? :) It needs more attention, a gentle touch, and patience before it shows what it's capable of (and it's capable of a lot!). So, take the bar in your hands, wet it thoroughly, and swirl it vigorously (basically, lather it) until you create the right amount of emulsion to distribute throughout your hair. We tried to make the bar as slippery and creamy as possible, but at first it might seem like there's not enough emulsion. You might not feel like you're applying anything to your hair (after all, there's no lather) and wonder if you're doing everything right. Don't worry, this is normal if you used to simply pour conditioner straight from the bottle into your hand. But trust me, after a while, you'll get used to this method of application and get the most out of the bar. And as we've already established, it has quite a lot to offer, and you definitely want to give it to your hair. If applying it straight from your hand seems ineffective, you can try gently (!) moving it with a smooth disc from roots to ends. But remember – don't rub your hair. From experience and testing, we know that you can also obtain more product by lathering the disc into the ends, but we don't recommend this method for delicate, brittle, or tangle-prone hair. To sum up - try it a few times and simply choose the method that is most convenient and effective for you.
