Edelweiss Acid Facial Serum, 30 ml
We know that the word "acids" may be intimidating to some, bringing to mind laboratory test tubes filled with fuming and corrosive substances. The truth is, however, that acids (used in appropriate concentrations, of course) are some of the most beneficial skincare ingredients. And it's these that have been added to our face serum. Specifically: mandelic acid and lactobionic acid. Now for a bit of chemical theory. Mandelic acid is classified as an alpha-hydroxy acid (fruit acid), which offers a wealth of skincare benefits. One of its main characteristics, compared to other AHA acids, is its gentle action, making it suitable for use by people with sensitive skin. It not only exfoliates but also moisturizes and regulates sebum. Lactobionic acid, in turn, belongs to the PHA group of acids, which are designed for sensitive skin, as well as dry and vascular skin. Used in the appropriate concentration (don't worry, we've taken care of that!), it provides substantial nourishment and also helps with the problem of keratinization. These substances are responsible for the serum's main properties: intense hydration and gentle exfoliation. And that's not all. Used regularly, the product evens out skin tone and helps reduce the appearance of discoloration and minor scars. Importantly, both mandelic acid and lactobionic acid are not photosensitizing. Furthermore, their combination with soothing ingredients (such as allantoin, panthenol, and aloe vera juice) allows the serum to be used year-round, not just in the fall and winter, like most exfoliating cosmetics of this type. The serum is fragrant. It smells delicate, subtle, but above all, natural. The floral aroma is achieved thanks to the base of the cosmetic, Damask rose hydrolate, which elevates the application to an incredibly pleasant level. We'd say: sensual. Exactly. Application. It's a breeze. The serum absorbs into the skin instantly. Its light, gel-like consistency won't let you know what a greasy film it is. Instead, it reveals an immediate feeling of freshness and firmness. And finally, our cherry on the cake: edelweiss. Its extract, combined with the cosmetic genius hyaluronic acid, gives the product regenerating, firming, and anti-aging properties. We told you it was a true elixir! IMPORTANT: It's important to remember that despite the immense gentleness we've put into this product, acids are exfoliating substances that work in a concentrated and intense way. Their effect on the skin varies depending on skin type and the skin's familiarity with exfoliating cosmetics. What does this mean in practice? Serums can be very gentle (seboregulating, micro-exfoliating, and moisturizing with a desirable glow effect), but they can also result in noticeable exfoliation. Therefore, we'll be very clear here: we recommend introducing this product into your skincare routine gradually, a maximum of 1-2 times a week, in the evening, preferably alongside moisturizing creams (applied about half an hour after using the serum). During the day, remember to protect your face with SPF. For very sensitive skin, the product can be left on for 10 to 30 minutes and then washed off with water.
