The serum contains hyaluronic acid, which is renowned for its ability to retain up to 1,000 times its weight in water, like a sponge. It is the most important molecule in our "extracellular matrix," the substance that keeps our tissues firm and elastic. The face serum also contains hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid.
