How was the Korres brand born? George Korres founded it in 1996. The first Korres product was an aromatic herbal syrup with honey and anise. Its recipe was inspired by a honey concoction George's grandfather made in his hometown on the island of Naxos. However, it was another KORRES product, Wild Rose 24-Hour Cream, that became the brand's first global bestseller. How did the product reach the United States? An American buyer spotted Korres cosmetics in a pharmacy while vacationing in Crete and, impressed by their effects, called George Korres to request a larger shipment to the United States. Thus began the international journey of natural cosmetics from Greece. Over time, the products began to conquer not only the American market but also the Asian one.
