Beta Glucan - an extract of active substances from Shiitake mushrooms, belongs to a large group of substances called polysaccharides - activates Langerhans cells in the epidermis by reacting with their beta-glucan receptors, thereby locally and systematically triggering protective and repair functions. Its protective and modulating properties strengthen the skin's inherent self-renewal capacity. It restores balance to irritated skin and stimulates its self-healing power.
