Trans-micronized resveratrol is a dietary supplement containing natural, highly bioavailable resveratrol. The raw material for its production is an extract from the roots and rhizomes of Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum), which is one of the richest sources of this compound.
Resveratrol is a plant compound belonging to the group of polyphenols, classified as phytoalexins – natural defensive substances produced by plants in response to environmental stress, infections, or damage.
