Help4Skin Wound Healing contains an acidic carbomer stabilized by carnosine – a natural peptide found in the skin. In the case of dry wounds, such as abrasions or post-operative wounds, the preparation has an occlusive effect, reducing evaporation and limiting fluid loss through the epidermis.
Carnosine stabilizes acidic polymers, simultaneously acting as an antioxidant. Carbomer absorbs excess exudate from moist and oozing wounds, and also cools and softens the area in contact with a plaster or bandage. The preparation does not stick to the wound, which increases comfort.
Closed WoundsClean and disinfect the wound area. Apply the preparation, avoiding contact of the applicator tip with the wound. If necessary, apply a plaster or bandage.
Open WoundsClean and disinfect the wound. Gently and thoroughly dry it with sterile gauze. Apply a thick layer of the preparation (approx. 0.5-0.75 cm), without touching the wound with the applicator tip. Apply a plaster or bandage. Change the gel and dressing at least once a day. Gradually reduce the amount of preparation used after a scab appears.
