The serum contains:• Hyaluronic acid is a substance widely distributed in many tissues of the human body. Nearly 50% of all hyaluronic acid present in the body is found in the skin, where it is responsible for the proper distribution of collagen and elastin fibers. As one of the main components of the extracellular matrix, hyaluronic acid fills the spaces between the protein fiber skeleton and is essential for maintaining a healthy and youthful skin. Hyaluronic acid is a highly hygroscopic substance – it binds and retains significant amounts of water, thus giving the skin its integrity and elasticity and preventing excessive water loss from the skin. Hyaluronic acid is produced by the same skin cells responsible for collagen and elastin synthesis – fibroblasts. The content of this component in the skin depends on age and decreases dramatically with age, especially after the age of 50. Hyaluronic acid deficiency and excessive degradation, primarily due to the damaging effects of UV radiation and enzymes (hyaluronidase), are among the main causes of roughness and dryness in mature skin, as well as the appearance of wrinkles—both shallow and deep. The cosmetic and physiological properties of hyaluronic acid largely depend on the size (molecular weight) of its chain. High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid does not penetrate deep into the skin due to its size, but it plays a crucial protective role, creating a semi-permeable membrane that protects against microorganisms and external factors. It has anti-inflammatory properties and balances skin tone. Medium-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid provides strong surface hydration, accelerates healing, and regenerates. Low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid is most desirable because it penetrates the deepest and ensures full hydration of the dermis. Larger molecules, on the other hand, penetrate only 5-6% of the skin, and only superficially. It also stimulates cells to produce collagen and elastin. • Trikenol Plus - consists of: manuka concentrate (particularly rich in triketones, which immunostimulate and regenerate skin cells. It exhibits antibacterial, anti-acne, and anti-inflammatory properties), willow extract (widely used in cosmetics and dermatology due to the synergistic action of salicylates and flavonoids and its keratolytic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties), and is enriched with salicylic acid (which regulates skin cell renewal, exfoliates and removes unnecessary layers of keratinized epidermal cells, and also has anti-inflammatory properties, which promotes the healing process of skin blemishes and irritations). Trikenol Plus inhibits the growth of bacteria that adversely affect the skin, reduces the number of comedones, and has antiseborrheic properties, significantly regulating sebum secretion. It has anti-inflammatory properties and normalizes exfoliation of the stratum corneum. • Lime Pearl AF - (extract from the fruit of a tropical shrub - Microcitrus Australasica) a source of valuable AHA acids, gently exfoliates the skin, smooths, and brightens discolorations. • Rodacea PG - a microalgae extract that protects the skin from dehydration and restores water content. It helps smooth wrinkles, regenerates, repairs, and improves oxygenation. It protects the skin from harmful external factors. • Fucocert - is an anionic polysaccharide rich in fucose. Produced from plant raw materials through a biotechnological fermentation process, Fucocert provides the skin with soothing, moisturizing, anti-aging, and restructuring properties (stimulation of keratinocyte differentiation). • D-Panthenol - easily penetrates the epidermis, accumulates in the dermis, and is converted into vitamin B5, or pantothenic acid. Applied externally, it has a healing effect on the skin, accelerating cell division and soothing irritated and reddened skin. Apple extract – regulates transepidermal water loss. This activity results from the carbohydrates and AHAs it contains, which stimulate skin cell regeneration. They influence the cohesion between corneocytes in the deeper layers, thinning the stratum corneum and improving skin elasticity. Furthermore, apple extract has antioxidant properties, primarily due to phenolic compounds and vitamin C, which neutralize free radicals.
