Mandelic Acid 10%, 30 g
Mandelic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) obtained by hydrolysis of bitter almond extract. Its molecule is larger than that of lactic acid or the popular glycolic acid. It works slower, primarily in the epidermis – gradually penetrating into the deeper layers, making it a safe cosmetic from the alpha-hydroxy acid group. It is also one of the most popular chemical peels used in cosmetology. Mandelic acid can be used on all skin types and is best for combination, blemished, oily, and acne-prone skin. Like all cosmetic hydroxy acids, it brightens, smooths, and evens out skin tone.

Properties: clear, transparent liquid, does not dissolve in oils. Has a gel-like consistency. Furthermore, it provides convenient application as an acid peel. Nago's 10% Mandelic Acid has a pH between 3 and 3.5, so there's no need to use neutralizers.
