Ethyl alcohol - is an organic chemical compound obtained by fermenting plant material (cereal grains, corn, or potatoes). Ethyl alcohol has a wide range of uses – in the pharmaceutical industry, it is used to produce medicines. Alcohol is an excellent ingredient in cosmetics, mainly for acne-prone and oily skin, as well as lotions for oily and hair loss. It is permitted in certified natural cosmetics. In low concentrations (up to 10%), it is often undetectable and well-tolerated. It gently disinfects the scalp, improves blood circulation, stimulates hair growth, and promotes the penetration of active substances through the skin, especially herbal extracts.
Fenugreek - the medicinal raw material is fenugreek seeds. They contain 20 to 30% mucilage, consisting primarily of galactomannans, vitamins (A, B6, C, B5), and minerals. Fenugreek has been used in hair care for generations, being one of the herbs most deeply ingrained in our culture and folk medicine traditions. Fenugreek hair lotions deliver medicinal substances directly to the scalp, nourishing, stimulating, or inhibiting specific processes. Fenugreek lotion reduces hair loss, stimulates new hair growth, and accelerates the growth of old hair, creating a noticeable "baby hair" effect—that is, newly sprouted, short hair. It also effectively combats dandruff, inhibits seborrhea, and moisturizes the scalp.
L-lactic acid is an organic chemical compound that is a natural component of skin and hair. It is a component of the NMF (natural moisturizing factor)—responsible for maintaining proper skin hydration. It prevents excessive water loss and protects against the damaging effects of external factors. At low concentrations, it ensures the scalp is moisturized and prevents excess sebum production. Furthermore, it has an enzymatic exfoliating effect, which, by absorbing through the epidermal layers, opens pores, regulating skin function – which in turn translates to hair appearance. Lactic acid is recommended in products such as scalp lotions, rinses, and scrubs.
Horsetail is an annual, rhizome-like, creeping plant. Horsetail extract is obtained from the stems and contains mineral salts, including silicon, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, and silicic acid.
Horsetail extract is therefore recommended for products with stimulating and revitalizing properties. Used in hair lotions, it reduces hair loss, brittleness, and fragility, and increases elasticity and density. It is also used to treat problems with dandruff, oiliness, and weakened hair structure, i.e., split ends.
Burdock - an annual or perennial plant, grows up to 2 meters in height. Greater burdock is native to Europe, northern Asia, and the USA. Burdock extract - contains polysaccharides, polyacetylene compounds, sulfur compounds, essential oil, and other active substances. Burdock oil - affects the function of the sebaceous glands, which is why it is often used to combat dandruff and prevent hair loss.
How to use:
There are two ways to use the lotion:
Rub the product into the scalp before washing your hair; it is best to leave it on for up to 15 minutes. Then wash your hair with a gentle Fitomed shampoo for oily hair with soapwort. Apply Fitomed herbal conditioner for oily hair. Rub the conditioner into your scalp after washing your hair. You can leave it in.
Adjust the frequency and order of application (before or after washing your hair) depending on your skin's tolerance for the conditioner's active ingredients and your hair type (very oily, oily, or prone to oiliness).
