Maximized power of ingredients supporting the fight against pathogens causing respiratory, digestive, urinary, and skin infections. The Pathogenon formula is composed of carefully selected natural ingredients with scientifically proven effectiveness against pathogens causing the most common respiratory, digestive, urinary, and skin infections – bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi. The combination of these ingredients in the preparation enables their maximized, synergistic effect. MED® propolis contained in the preparation is obtained through a unique multiple extraction process, which preserves the properties of the active ingredients. This raw material contains a standardized complex of 6 valuable polyphenols: quercetin, apigenin, pinobanksin, chrysin, pinocembrin, and galangin. Propolis, garlic, and echinacea (echinacea). How does science confirm the effectiveness of these ingredients and the substances contained within them? Antibacterial activity is the most important biological property of propolis, resulting from the presence of polyphenols, flavonoids, and terpenes. Propolis also has a fungicidal effect on Candida spp., Trichophyton rubrum, and Aspergillus fumigatus, as well as an antiviral effect on the most common infections caused by HSV, which cause oral and genital herpes. Studies have shown that propolis is more effective than acyclovir, resulting in faster healing of lesions and the resolution of local symptoms. Propolis also supports intestinal microflora; it can also reduce oral infections and plaque and effectively prevent stomatitis and canker sores. Garlic, known as a natural antibiotic, owes its properties to its composition, which contains organic sulfur derivatives, the precursors of which are thioamino acids (alliin, methylalliin, propylalliin). The garlic in Pathogenon is in the form of a standardized 10:1 tuber extract and contains 2% valuable alliin - garlic has been proven to have antiviral and antiparasitic effects; it is one of the few substances that actively combat even highly antibiotic-resistant staphylococci. Echinacea - Pathogenon contains not only the most common extract of purple coneflower, but also three varieties of this plant - E. purpurea (L.) Moench, E. pallida (Nutt.) Nutt, and E. angustifolia DC - echinacea has been proven to have antiviral effects - against influenza viruses, colds, measles, shingles, rubella, and chickenpox, as well as respiratory tract infections (including tonsillitis, purulent pharyngitis, and paranasal sinuses). Echinacea extract stimulates the entire immune system. Has immunomodulating, antioxidant, and antifungal properties. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or plants from the Asteraceae (Compositae) family. Preparations containing Echinacea should not be used in cases of progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, white blood cell diseases, collagenoses, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, HIV infection, and other immunological diseases. There is a risk of anaphylactic reactions in atopic patients. Atopic patients should consult a physician before using preparations containing Echinacea. Recommended daily intake: 3 capsules daily, preferably with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Allergy information: Do not use in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of the preparation's ingredients.
