The uniqueness of collagen obtained from fish skin lies in the fact that it decomposes at a temperature of approximately 27-30 degrees Celsius, while the surface of human skin has an average temperature of approximately 32-34°C. Fish collagen with a denaturation temperature below this value will decompose into amino acids or peptides upon contact with human skin, enabling them to penetrate deeper layers of the skin. It constitutes over 12% of all active ingredients. Collagen forms the main framework of the dermis and is responsible for its mechanical strength.
