Black Dead Sea Mud is a highly mineralized mud of plant origin (e.g., algae) that deposits on the shores of the body of water during conditions of intense water evaporation. It forms mainly around river mouths and on the seashore. This mud can be found along the entire Dead Sea coast in pollution-free, calm bays. BingoSpa Natural Black Mud contains a unique complex of minerals: potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, bromides, bicarbonates, sulfates, chlorides, fluorine, iodine, and others, as well as kaolin, a type of clay with high fat-absorbing properties and seborrheic-regulating properties.
Laminaria digitata L. - a plant belonging to the brown algae family. It grows up to 3-4 meters in length, and its thallus consists of a cylindrical trunk and wide, long, and, depending on the species, split or forked leaves. Dried laminaria contains 12% water and 15% mineral salts (chlorides, sulfates, and iodine). Iodine is a particularly abundant element in this group of algae, which can contain up to 0.5% of its dry weight. Dry algae contain less than 1% lipids, approximately 5% proteins, and 65% or less sugars, represented by: - mannitol (12-158%) - soluble condensed glucides (15-40%), in particular fucoidan and laminaran. Laminaran is a glucan that occurs in two forms: insoluble and soluble. Both forms are composed of D-glucose with 1-3 linkages, as well as several 1-6 linkages and mannitol residues. The amount of laminaran will vary depending on the time of year when the algae are harvested.
