BINGOSPA Keratin is a fibrous protein of the epidermis and its products, such as hair and nails. It is an insoluble protein. Keratin, in the form of water-soluble hydrolysates, is widely used in hair and nail care products.
BINGOSPA Keratin is the main structural component of the hair shaft and cuticle, produced in hair follicles. The interior of the hair shaft, called the cortex, is composed of spirally twisted keratin fibrils interconnected by cross-linked disulfide bonds, which are responsible for hair elasticity. Keratin is also a component of the outer cuticle, the continuity of which determines the healthy and shiny appearance of hair and prevents splitting.
BINGOSPA Keratin is a valuable active substance with conditioning and regenerating properties in hair care and beauty products. The advantage of keratin hydrolysates over other compounds with similar effects lies in their ability to penetrate deep into the hair and permanently bind to the keratin chains of the hair, improving its appearance and properties: mechanical strength, stiffness, susceptibility to curling and styling.
