Argan trees grow throughout southwestern Morocco. The trees live from 100 to 400 years and produce almond-sized fruit that ripens year-round. The fruit has a thick, bitter skin, and inside is a milky pulp and a hard nut containing oily seeds. BINGOSPA argan oil is obtained from the seeds. Traditionally, argan oil production in Berber communities is performed only by women. To extract the seeds, the nuts are cracked between stones. The seeds are then dried, gently roasted, water added, and ground in hand mills into a paste, from which the oil is then manually pressed.
Argan oil, known to the indigenous people for over a thousand years, is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E, hence its benefits for the skin include everything from combating dryness and roughness to scars, wrinkles, and even, paradoxically, oiliness.
BINGOSPA argan oil is a unique vegetable oil, rich in unsaturated fatty acids (80%), primarily omega-6 and omega-9. It also contains a high dose of vitamin E in the form of a tocopherol complex. Essential fatty acids participate in, among other things, the formation of prostaglandins, hormones responsible for a number of crucial processes occurring in both the skin and the entire body. The unique composition of BINGOSPA argan oil makes it very easily absorbed and digestible by the skin. - It has strong antioxidant properties resulting from its high vitamin E content and additional phenolic compounds, including ferulic acid and carotenoids, which protect the skin's structure from damage caused by external factors.
- It has anti-inflammatory, soothing, and healing properties. Squalane and unsaturated fatty acids support the regeneration of the epidermal hydrolipid barrier and replenish the skin's fatty component deficiencies, including ceramides, which constitute cellular cement.
