Peat peat is a type of peat. It is an organic mass formed from plants as a result of humification processes (decay) under the influence of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria in an environment rich in water.

Low-moisture peat is the most common and occurs in 89% of peat bogs in Poland. It forms in places where lakes were once saturated, in overgrown riverbeds, from plants requiring large amounts of mineral salts. The mineral content can reach up to 50% of the dry weight. However, peat containing no more than 25% mineral content is suitable for therapeutic purposes. Due to the high content of alkali metals combined with humic acids and the resulting alkaline reaction, conditions favor the growth of microorganisms. This promotes the faster decomposition of peat-forming plants and the release of proteins, sugars, pectins, alkaloids, resins, and waxes from these plants. The high degree of decomposition of low-grade peat increases its medicinal value.

Chemical composition of peat

  • Organic components - incompletely decomposed plant components, e.g., lignin, cellulose, bitumens (waxes, resins, asphalts, fats),
  • humic acids - fulvic acids, humic acids, amino acids.
  • Biologically active substances of a hormonal type. The hormonal effects of peat involve stimulating the secretion of ovarian, adrenal, and pituitary hormones, as well as the direct action of estrogenic substances found in the peat. Enzymes, antibiotics, and microbiological components, inorganic components – mineral salts, such as magnesium, potassium, aluminum, and sodium sulfates, iron, silicon, and calcium compounds. BINGOSPA peat salt uses a peat extract containing the active substances of peat while preserving its therapeutic properties. Peat extract is the "essence" of what is most valuable and valuable in peat. A bath in BingoSpa peat salt can be used: in general body care treatments, in anti-cellulite treatments, A peat salt bath provides relief to tired muscles and reduces heaviness.
