Retinal Correcting Serum 0.15%, 30 ml

ACTION: Retinal is the last compound converted to retinoic acid (which cannot be used in cosmetic products). It boasts antibacterial properties, making it helpful in the care of acne-prone skin, and due to its low irritation potential, it can be safely used in the care of skin affected by rosacea. This ingredient effectively combats discoloration, has anti-aging properties, reduces wrinkles, and improves skin elasticity and firmness. Vitamin C in the form of 3-O-ethylated ascorbic acid, present in the antioxidant regenerating serum Illuminating and Calming, has anti-inflammatory properties and reduces redness, thus minimizing the side effects of the treatment, while brightening the complexion and positively impacting its overall appearance. A 2% natural growth factor complex (INCI: Nicotiana Benthamiana Hexapeptide-40 sh-Polypeptide-76) works synergistically with vitamin A derivatives, participating in the same metabolic pathway leading to collagen synthesis. It enhances the effects of retinol, resulting in even greater skin stimulation. Vitamin E (INCI: Tocopherol) and coenzyme Q10 (INCI: Ubiquinone), a duo of powerful antioxidants, combat free radicals, soothe the skin, and slow the aging process. Ceramides NP and AP, as the so-called intercellular cement, support skin renewal, accelerating its regeneration processes. Carnosine 2.0 is resistant to degradation, making it significantly more effective than L-carnosine. This ingredient restores skin firmness, prevents the effects of photoaging, lightens brown discolorations (PIH – Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation), and generally improves skin tone. Phytosphingosine, a free sphingoid amine found in the skin, a component of ceramides and a natural anti-inflammatory factor, improves the appearance of acne-prone skin, reduces redness and irritation. Phospholipids, which are carriers of retinal, stabilize it and reduce the risk of irritation. WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Because retinal penetrates deeper layers of the skin, it SHOULD NOT be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women. The serum is fragrance-free; its slight fragrance is due to the composition. We recommend washing your hands thoroughly after application. The serum may stain light-colored linens and clothes. We recommend protecting your pillowcase and, if stains appear, using a stain remover. Store the product in the refrigerator after opening. Shelf life after opening: 3 months. HOW TO USE: During the day, it's essential to apply high-performance SPF50+ sun protection and avoid sun exposure. It's also important to remember that during retinal treatment, the skin requires increased hydration and regeneration. Always start retinal use with a lower concentration, 0.07%, both when starting treatment for the first time and when resuming it after a longer break. Retinal should be introduced gradually, using it every 4-5 evenings for the first two weeks. Over time, reduce the interval between applications by one day. Apply the serum once daily, exclusively in your evening routine, to cleansed and dry skin, avoiding the eye area. When starting to introduce retinal into your skincare routine, apply it alone to observe the skin's reaction. Ultimately, approximately 30-40 minutes after retinal application, you can apply a moisturizing and regenerating product, such as a ceramide serum and/or a lipid-based winter cream. In the first few weeks of using retinol, you may notice skin redness, dryness, or irritation, as well as peeling – this is the result of the skin building tolerance to this active ingredient. Switch to a higher retinol concentration when the skin tolerates the lower one well, at least 4-5 times a week. Increase the concentration as skin tolerance increases – initially every 4 days, gradually increasing the frequency. Retinol can be used year-round, but it should be discontinued completely approximately 4 weeks before any planned increased sun exposure.
